9 Iron, a sports hydration drink which contains vitamins and electrolytes important for optimal performance during sporting activities, understands the importance of supporting young athletes. “We are thrilled to be the Official Sports Drink for this exciting event,” said Simons Chase, CEO of Performance Beverage Group, Inc. “the display of sportsmanship, athletic talent and community stewardship that embody the spirit of the Babe Ruth World Series are just a few reasons why we at Performance Beverage Group are proud to be sponsors.”
The 2010 tournament represents the fifth time that Loudoun has been selected to host a Babe Ruth World Series. The site for this year’s event, Fireman’s Field, is a community baseball park bordered by 100ft high oak trees built in the 1940’s for Purcellville’s baseball community at a time when towns all across America had their own baseball team. Fireman’s Field has played, and will continue to play, a vital role in the community for years to come. The 2010 14-U Babe Ruth World Series is scheduled to take place August 18-28. The tournament will see about 20,000 attendees from all over the United States.
